Intergraph’s Communication Infrastructure Management (CIM) products, online help and training materials were all fully localised into Chinese. G/Comms was tailored to specifically meet China Telecoms standards and functionality requirements. This fit involved some reconfiguration rather than any customisation due to G/Comms open database access, high scalability and the near real-time performance delivered by the dynamic display caching component of its architecture. This enterprise-wide network resource management system was then initially deployed to 16 subsidiaries in order to streamline departmental workflows involved in design, planning, operations and maintenance, construction, and marketing activities. The project scope included upgrading the carrier’s legacy AM/FM/GIS system, based on Intergraph's flagship FRAMME solution, to the next-generation G/Comms technology.
